Do I need to be vaccinated for COVID19?

No, proof of vaccination is not required.

What is the best time to arrive for the conference?

Social activities begin on Sunday, March 5th and are scheduled up to the Friday March 10th.  The actual conference lectures start on Monday March 6th and finish on Thursday March 9th. Lectures go from 8AM - 12:30PM. Most people arrive either the Saturday or Sunday to attend the Welcome Event.

Others arrive during the week, and stay on past the conference to enjoy Grenada. With daily flights from New York, Miami, Trinidad, and Barbados you can choose an itinerary that suits your schedule.

What is the dress code for Conference?

Casual attire is acceptable for lectures.  Shorts, sandals, sundresses, and similar have been worn in the past. We would like you to be comfortable! Some people may wear more formal attire (such as business casual) for the reception or when dining out with friends. Sun protection, an umbrella, and comfortable walking shoes are always a good idea too!

Is transportation provided for events over the week?

Yes, a shuttle service is provided from the conference hotel to the various off-site events. Check the event schedule or Information Desk for details.

Where can I find assistance during the conference?

During the conference an in-person Information Desk will be located in the lobby of the Radisson Beach Resort. For the lecture days only (ie: Monday through Thursday) an in-person Information/Registration Desk will be located directly outside the conference room entrance to assist conference attendees. A schedule of open hours will be provided in your attendee packet and you’ll be able to reach us anytime during the week via alumniaffairs@sgu.edu .

Do family members need to purchase tickets for events?

Yes, family members will need to purchase tickets if they wish to attend any paid event.  For attendees, the cost of their Welcome Reception is included in the registration price.  All other paid activities will need to be purchased separately.

When will I get confirmation of my registration?

Following payment, your registration is then manually confirmed to ensure accuracy. This is usually immediate but sometimes may take 1-2 business days. If you have not received a confirmation email within 1-2 business days or if you have any concerns, please email us at contactus@sgusomaa.org .

Are refunds available?

St. George’s University School of Medicine Alumni Association often makes arrangements with outside vendors for conference events. Many events require a financial commitment and payments are primarily made directly to the vendor. For conference registrations, we offer the following method of refunds:
- If requested within 48hours of purchase, a full refund will be made
- If requested greater than 48hours after purchase, a 75% refund will be made
- If requested greater than 1 week after purchase, a 50% refund will be made
- If requested greater than 2 weeks after purchase, refunds will no longer be available with our apologies. However, registrations are still transferrable and thus can be transferred to another potential attendee.
